I took it to a few places today to find out what the whining noise is in the diff. It turns out to be the bearings in it. He said what bearing it was but i cant remember, pinion bearing maybe?? i got quoted one place $770 and another $495, the first guy did seem dodgy, my question is, is this an easy task to do? can i do it my self? Also if this is hard do you recommend anyone in sydney that i could go to? thanks.

Id say Side bearings.. Cost me nearly $800 all up, then blew the diff costing another $1470.

It's costing me $350 to get my centre change from 3.08 to 3.45 with a full bearing set included.

AUII_Forte where are you getting this done at?? Is that mates rates? Doesnt anyone know what this involves? Im sure alot have done it, any help will be great.

I don't think AUII forte is happy with his $350 dollars worth.
