BTR 4 Speed Auto Behavior - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hey all,

This 4 Speed auto stuff its still all new to me but....
While driving tonight on the eastern when i drove off the freeway onto Bulleen RD exit the car went 3rd - 4th - 3rd - 4th - 3rd as i was slowing down from 80k's. This is the 3rd time its done it before, any thoughts on what it could be? im thinkin of getting it serviced friday but thought id ask to see if thats normal cause it most of the time jumps down from 4th to 2nd when i stop at the lights anyway.

that was the advantage of the btr 4 speed it could ship gears on down shifts... not sure about the 3434343434 thing... try it in power

Have you checked the fuild level of the gear box latly?

It can cause a few little niggles when low.

Mine did that on the freeway when it was low on fluid. Could slao be a blocked or near blocked filter.

Well when my sister had the EA she never had it serviced! so im guessing it might need one soon!

INJECTED250 - Its IN POWERMODE, in ECON mode its got a delay between gears like if i was using a clutch LMAO

Ill get it checked out this friday guys thanks
