Has anybody figured out a way to convert the 4 spd auto in the E series Falcons into a full manually shifted auto.
In other words like the new BA sequential shift, that only shifts up when you wont it to not before or after you wont it to?

yeah someone onthis forum has...runs a shop in WA i think...Battens Performance Tuning or something like that...I think it was the sam guy that had those thermo fan set ups going a while ago....

theres another guy on here somewhere that has done it but i think he put in a lexus v8 aswell .. i think correct me if i'm wrong

dominello racing in sydney has a full conversion out for 1500 or so they mount a remote push button on your steering wheel and your box is totally manual its up to you when you change same as ba falcons

Ok the late model electronic gearboxes shift gears by using simple on off solenoids same object that controls injectors.If you got hold of a wiring diagram and disconnected the shift solenoid from the computer and then figured out which and when to change then its just a matter of supply constant power and switching the earth.More complex in pratice but the basics is there.

Sounds good guys.
This sounds like a good project for my EF Falcon, which only needs that part of the auto to be sorted out now that it has the shifting sorted.
It frustrates me that in drive it changes from first to second too late @ 5800-6000 and misses the max torque peak.
