As the topic says, im looking at buying a C4 for my car, and one of the guys at work has a cortina with a 250 and an auto, i want to know if a C4 came out in the cortinas, and how i can identify if it is a c-series box?
Had a quick look under the cortina tonight and it looks like it has a drain plug, is this a c-series box?
easier again is which side of the car does the selector bolt onto the gearbox, i'm pretty sure that a borgwarner will connect on the drivers side and the C4 connects on the passenger
C4's dont usually have a drain plug. BW's do.
I dont think they came in cortinas.
easiest way to tell is C4 has 11 pan bolts and a vacuum modulator on the rear RHS hence a vac tube from intake where a BW has a cable..
Be careful,i think some cortinas had BW's that had the linkage on the left unlike the normal falcon BW which is on the right.
