C4 or FMX???

I need to know how to tell the difference between a C4 and an FMX Gearbox. The car came standard with a FMX but I have been told it was converted to a C4. I need to buy somje stuff for it and I don't want to look like an idiot if I have to take it back. Anyone got any pics of either?? The gearbox is out of the car so I can take some pics if it makes it any easier.

Also when I pulled the flex plate off the old engine, there is a balance weight looking thing on one side. How do I line it up when I put it on the new engine? It was facing the engine so I didn't take any notice of where it was in relation to the crank.

The C4's main body is made of alloy and the FMX is cast iron , thats why it weighs a shitload .

The flexplate will only fit on the engine in one spot. The holes in the crank look close but only line up one way.
A c4 has 11 pan bolts,an fmx has 14..

The FMX is friggin huge compared to a C4. The FMX is almost the "HEAVIEST OF HEAVY SLUDGE-O-MATICS (tm)", bettered only by the C6 of the Ford Automatic Transmissions.
