Can anyone help? My C4 transmission has started to flare while shifting into 3rd gear. 1st to 2nd is strong and punchy, but 2nd to 3rd at full throttle flares drastically until I back off the accelerator. During normal driving to get it into third gear it requires sustained high rpm, which I guess makes it abnormal driving. Any suggestions would be appreciated, or any info on transmission rebuilders in the Melbourne metro area, (Moorabbin ideally), who have a good reputation would also be welcomed.

Your closest recommend would be BBE in Elsternwick. I've seen plenty of their C4's in quick cars.
