My 69 Stang blew out the FMX, won't stay in 1st. I want to swap it out with a C6 or C4. I heard that the C6 will suck more HP to run. The motor, 351W, is putting out about 400hp. No racing, just street.

Looking for opinions.

I can't honestly say anything about a C6, but the C4 that is in my girlfriends 302C XD Fairmont is bloody near bulletproof.

A C6 will handle more power than a C4 for sure, but would it fit in a Stang? Check out my thread on my C4 woes... Collect my rebuilt (again) C4 tomorrow

a c4 done right is a pretty awesome box. get a c4 built by a pro with a nice shift kit etc and you cant go wrong
