I hate clutch cables - they really are a pain in the ass.
Anyway; everybody I have spoken to reckons its not possible to convert my cable clutch (on a T5) to hydraulic.
Has anyone done it; or can it be done (for a reasonable price obviously as well....anything can be done with money)

I'm sure it is possible, however there is nothing wrong with the cable that a bit of TLC can't sort.

Not really necessary, a PROPERLY ADJUSTED cable set up, with all componants in good condition, will behave as well as a hydraulic system, and the hydraulic will be no lighter. What model car, what engine?

Its in an EB 4.0L - I've had problems before and the cable was only replaced a year or two ago; but spose I know now how to adjust it.
Only problem is each time I adjust it; I get more and more freeplay with the clutch - I like to release the clutch a little bit; then have it start to grip....not half way before it starts to grip.....maybe theres ANOTHER adjustment for this.
How long should a cable last without adjustment?

If you are requiring continual adjustment, then your pressure plate is failing, or something else in the system is bending, ie pedal box. Adjust it so it dis-engages on the floor, and engages between one and one and a half inches off the floor.

The E-series cars had a problem with the firewall cracking where the cable goes through. Hard to see from the engine bay, try looking from the inside with a torch, might see it better.
