Castrol Transmax Z applications

I recently picked up a 4L bottle of Transmax Z for $64, and a friend with a manual V6 MX6 is wondering whether the same stuff would be appropriate for his car. Castrol says Transmax Z is appropriate for all Dexron II/III applications, but seemingly contradicts itself by saying it is not recommended for 'G fluids'. The MX6 manual says GL4/5 is recommended.

Just curious as to whether this makes sense to anyone.

Re: Castrol Transmax Z applications

You'll want some Castrol VMX80 or Syntrax for the MX6, the Transmax would be too thin and would not lubricate the box/diff correctly.

Transmax is for Autos, and for manual gearboxes that require thinner fluid, like the T5. (Syntrax would be better for the T5 actually)
Its not for 'regular' manual gearboxes.
