hey guys, I remember reading a while back about a mob in the brissy area who do cheap manual conversions, I cannot for the life of me find the thread, so I was wondering if anyone knew who it was, I think he did them for $300-$400, thanks for any help!

A place gets all the stuff for you preety much does everything and its $1500. I went to a wrecking yard they will give me everything i need for a conversion for $1,000 and then they want my old 4spd gear box back. Costs way to much, you could install it yourself easy enuf take like 1-2 days easy.

An unlicensed manual EA costs me between $400-$800 depending on condition and luck I got the donor car for my conversion for $700 and it now owes me $30 after selling off the motor and mags.
Time taken - about 2 days; I knew what I was doing so it may take you a bit longer, well worth DIY I reckon.

hehe nah my mate just bought an 89 fairmont with perfect 3.9 and T5, hes getting the box, im getting the engine and panels, so yeah we were going to do the conversion ourselves but I remember that somewhere did it for real cheap, Thanks JJJ, will give them a call, so you get your old parts back?
