clutch again

i drive an EA II and i have realised that my clutch cable has actually started to split my firewall.
I work at volkswagon and it was a problem on the older models
has anyone seen or experienced this before
any suggestions?

Re: clutch again

EAs are notorious for this. Just weld or rivet a small steel plate into the firewall like sikEA said.
