Hey you'll...
Some of you would no i had some trouble with my clutch cable...

First of all the firewall cracked, temporarily fixed it with a big arse washer.
Then it gave way, Unr8d helped fix at 11pm in a shoping centre carpark.
Fixed it neatly with a big thik bita metal, no problems so far...

Until 2day!!! COming out of Clarke Rubber (just got some vinyl for my lil project in the car (will post pics when finished), snap! Bang! Going nowhere now! Tow home!
Went to get a new one, $80, i thought they would be more expensive?

That's about right for a genuine ford cable. But one of the advantages of working for Ford is that I bought mine a few weeks ago for $55 :)

yer they are pretty cheap man, its just a cable in a rubber surround
they are easy to get out and in would be able to do it in less than 30min.

i pulled mine out the other week because i thought mine had snapped, but it was my pressure plate instead

yeah i though it was the pressure plate....is there n e difference with heavy duty ones? How thick are stocko one's ment to be, coz my plates are f u k n heavy!!!

yer all fords have heavy clutches man
but some are abnormally hard, like pete's eb clutch is redicilous!

you can tell if the pressure plate has gone.. it basically either pressure plate or clutch cable, if the clutch cable isnt loose at one end it would be your pressure plate
new one is $550 in the ford clutch kit with thrust bearing main imput bearing ect...

Yeah i know it the cable all ready...pulled it out n its screwed... lucky its not the pressure plate...i think i have one of those rediculously heavy one's aswell!

you should ring around for a after mark clutch cable .

got one the same as the old one...only cost me $58. not bad i thought. and replaced the lil bushes that help the metal 'U' thing swivel round the pin where it connects to the pedal. And also replaced the 'U' thing coz it had 2 cracks in it!
All up cost me just under $60. should be nice and smooth now, coz the firewall is looking good since i fixed a plate to it...
Oh, putting it all in 2moro, and painting all the grey crap beneath the dash to black...
