I would like to know was the standard clutch in the EL Falcon known for being a heavy bastard? I have one, and it is. I have gotten used to it, but the only car I have driven with a clutch heavier was on a rooted Camira that a mate had.
No joke, anyone else who drives my car comments on it being heavy, how should it feel? I've never driven any other manual falcons, so I cannot compare.
well mate Id have to say that if its getting really heavy its on its way out,.
I had a centreforce in my car which finally had the dick & replaced it with a H/D Valeo unit & the difference is amazing, Im to the point that my foot is going to go thru the firewall its that light.
Try disconnecting the cable & see if that is smooth, otherwise the clutch could be on its way out.
yeah the cables can get very very stiff if u don't lube them up
id check it out quick if it is that heave u have a chance of the cable ripping the firewall
I have an EB2 manual that also has a very very heavy clutch. I have just replaced the clutch, clutch cable but it still the heaviest clutch i have ever used
I have just had the clutch in my el xr8 replaced & it is light as.Before it was replaced it seemed like you needed 2 feet to hold it in.Turns out the firewall was cracked.
What is a valeo type clutch? & are they better than a normal one?
