Ok, 2 questions...

First, I want to change the oil in the 5 speed (98 EL XR6), whats the best oil to use?

Also How do I know if the diff oil needs changed? The level is ok.
It tends to make a small squeaking noise when turning a fairly sharp turn when the car has been warmed up, so I want to maybe change the oil if it might help.

Any input welcome!

just use Shell Helix Limited Slip Diff oil...

depending on how hard it gets treated, but you could change it every 20,000k's or so...

did you also have a question regarding your 5 speed??? I noticed there was a mention in the subject.

Doh!

I also meant to ask which is the best oil to use in the T5. From what I can find in the forums, Castrol Tranzmax is the way to go, even though its designed for autos.
I take it an el cheapo hand pump can be bought at Supercheap or something for adding the new oil?

just use Dexron III...

i have it in mine, and i also have the shell LSD oil in my diff too...
