i'm sure this has been asked a million and one times but the search fuction wouldn't work.
i am building an XF sedan with the X-Flow 6 on PULP:
mild perf. crow cam
crow timing gears/chain/valve train kit
60 thou shaved open chamber head (from XE EFI)
Genie Extractors w/ hi flow cat & straight through muffler (only 1)
re-jetted webber carby
K&N pod filter mounted where battery was.
electric fuel pump
electric water pump
twin thermo fans off XL XR
My question is about the diff and what i should use. the car is mainly for street driving with a few drags now and then of course! i was told to use a 4 pinion LSD with 3.45 gears from a later model XR8 but am curious as to what the hell these mini and full spools are and wether they are a better option or a waste of money for my setup.
any help greatly appreciated

Street driven? If so stay away from spools. Being a BW diff just get the diff rebuilder to shim up the LSD cones tight and make sure you avoid tight u-turns etc to help prolong LSD component life.

Post EB (inclusive) are all 28 spline/4pin. Before that, most are 25 spline/2pin, with the exception of 351 equipped vehicles back to XD, and possibly some option packs.
