Any one know of a good diff shop in sydney or brisbane, or close to either that can shorten a diff, and re-sline axles. After someone with heaps of experience and well recommended.

Its an 80 series hilux diff.

You cannot re spline Toyota axles. 80 serires sounds like Landcruiser, not hilux.

80 series does not directly imply that it is a cruiser. It refers to all commercial vehicles. The diff out of a hilux can ve found in cruisers and hi-ace vans, and a few others.
As for not re-splining them, why not. A mate of mine had his hilux diff shortened, no worries, i have seen the re-splined axles. Probelm with his diff shop, is that they are 9 months behind in work.
You also see a lot of rotary boys using hilux diffs intheor cars, and i am pretty sure that a std hilu diff wont fit under the guards of an R100. So i guess they are shortening then as well.

80 series is cruiser. The rear diff out of a cruiser is huge compared to a hilux diff. Front cruiser diff is similar to hilux, but is not suitable. Hilux is similar to other light commercial diffs in the Toyota range. 9" axles can be resplined without problems, other stuff is not so successful, and normally requires billet axles to make it safe.
