Not sure about the XB... but no XD's came from the factory with 9" diffs, not even the ESP's.

Also manuals from XRGT's to XBV8's were toploaders anything else was either B/W single rail or auto BW35 C4 or FMX

Well - Im afraid it isn't so....
Even the late XBGT's missed out on top loader and the only XD and XE 9" you will find are ones that have been made up from the aftermarket sector. I have been wrecking V8 Fords for a lot of yours and as an authorised Ford parts seller I can tell you that what you read in print just isn't always true.

The diff I blew up at the fordforums drag day last year was a 25 spline BW LSD from a 302 powered 1979 XD falcon.
