I have a 1999 grand marquis with 130,000 miles on it. While doing an inspection of the underbody the other day, at first I thought the seal was leaking on the diff. cover. When I went to replace/fix said seal, I noticed that the fluid is coming out of the vent tube. After looking around on the floor and driveway, I have left quite a few spots around from the fluid leaking out of the vent tube. I have not had any service done to the differential. Any thoughts or suggestions. I have asked several of my weekend warrior friends and they were stumped. Thanks All!

If you're talking about the vent on the top of the drivers axle tube, the differential would have to be over filled. How does the fluid look and is it at the correct level?
