I've noticed recently that my clutch seems a hell of alot lighter than other E-Series cars I've driven recently and I'm wondering if there may be a problem with the clutch/pressure plate. I've also noticed a bad vibration through the car sometimes when downshifting but all the engine, gearbox mounts and control arm bushes are all fine. I also seem to not be able to chirp/spin second gear in my car when I can easily do it in my mates car which is stock as a rock and has the same spces as mine.

Also will a clutch from a an EBII 4.0 fit in an EAII cos I can pick one up real cheap from a mate at work.

Nope the clutch from the EA is 9" and the EB 10" however if the flywheel is changed it will fit...

My ED clutch is soooo heavy , i would do anything for a lighter clutch.....dont complain about it!

yeah id give my right leg for a lighter clutch i think thats half the reason our firewalls cracked sik
you cant pull seconds ??? damn i pulled 3rds once scared the bejeesis outta me anyway look at the pressure plate some of the fins are probably broken or bent do you get that smell you know when you ride the clutch heaps?

Daikin do a clutch that is very nicely weighted and sticks like you wouldnt believe - the friction plate is as big as its possible to fit on a stock flywheel and it rocks.

i have one in my car and im very imperssed.
