my eb 5speed, when cold tends to crunch its way into gear. esp second gear. when its warm it doesnt do this so im guessing the grade of oil in the gear box is too thick. any other suggestions? what grade of oil do you recommend i put in it? its a real bastard when its cold, it just does this noise and feels so not good for the car, any help will be great.

I'd try just checking the oil level in the gearbox. When my corty was doing this (many moons ago) the gearbox was nearly dry.
