EB Ghia 5spd

Just bought a 91 Ghia with a factory 5spd, CSA mags, RWC and 12 months reg for $5000! I was wondering if anyone can help me with some information. What sort of 0-100 times could i expect? What is my diff ratio and is it a limited slip version? Do I have self levelling suspension or sports suspension?
What mods could be done cheaply to increase performace?

It will have self levelling suspension unless it has been removed, and it will have a limited slip diff in it since it is a Ghia.

Good purchase mate!

I was going to say it has sports suspension (normal Fairmont suspension was a no cost option) unless it has been removed. Self levelling was an EA thing. :\

The normal Fairmont only has a single spinner diff whereas the Ghia has an LSD. I own a slightly modified EB ghia and im not too happy with the 0-100 times. The auto takes up too much power. However there is a manual transmission going in it from this weekend.


Aiming for the Best EB Ghia

Sounds like a good buy, if your lucky the self levelling suspension will already have been ditched.

I had it in my old EA and was nothing but problems. Ditched all the SLS stuff when I lowered it, was a happy day :)

Thanks guys, it had done 220 ks.
Does anyone know anything about the sensors that tell you when a door is open? According to mine my front passenger door is open, yet my most enthusiatic slamming well not change this.
I'm also having some traction problems, even on dry ashpalt a hard launch will leave my sitting there spinning while some guy in a korean buzzbox takes off. Even with a 30kmh rolling start she bags up and loses precious accelerative power, and in the wet, bugger me if I can accelerate under 70 kmh without the risk of my arse coming round to meet me, what can I do, new tyres? better suspension? 4WD conversion?

I get the same problem in the wet, taking of from the lights can be an embarresing thing sometimes.
