EBXR8 transmission help please
Hi Guys, thanks for giving us this option of asking questions and didn't we have a **** day on the mountain. Mr Moffat seemed pretty impressed with his drive in the new car though!
Has any one had any serious, VERY SERIOUS, work done on a EBII XR8 4sp auto. Mine has died (sorry been murdered) no fault of the car or Ford just some very bad advice from the mechanics and a foolish mistake on my part.
Ive had one quote for $1850 with a 3 year warranty but its hard to know who to trust and this job I can't do myself. Any names and advice would be appreciated. Thankyou
*** Some helpful advice I got last week from the hardware store. A stone went through the radiator of our EA leaving three of us stranded 70km's from home at 4.45pm with a hole the size of a thumb nail all the way through. On the advice of the hardware man a tube of Selly's Copper Knead It worked as per the instructions and stuck in the (still leaking) hole got us home with no fuss.
