You Wait About 10min Or Switch The Ignition On Off Repeatedly And It Will Start Sometimes Stalling Repeatedly. I Was Told It Was The Modules In The Distributor . How Hard Are They To Change Or Is It Better To Get One From The Wreckers. Getting Very Dishartened

Yes it is possibly the distributor, and no they aren't hard to change, but the dizzy is hard to get to...

its possible that the tfi module is buggered. ford had big problems with this module in the states which would fail when overheated. I believe they had a civil action on their hands cos of it.
it is easy to remove as it is bolted onto the dizzy. go on this page to find out how you can test it

to remove it all you have to do is loosen the bolt that holds the dizzy, its behind the dizzy, towards the back of the car. stick your hand in and you should feel it. then just rotate the dizzy anticlockwise a bit and you should have a clear access to the screws holding it in. bewarned though, that once you do this, you'll mess up the timing and you'll need a timing gun to set it up correctly again.

mongrelEB when my module died i thought it was the coil as well coz there was no spark, but after playing around with it all, turns out that the coil doesnt spark if the tfi module and/or pip sensor aren't working. better to test it before forking out money for a new coil

ya thanks guys went down to repco and got an ignition module and the bitch hasnt missed a beat and weve had 38deg weather so hopin all's fix'd again thanks

If you change the TFI module does it really alter the timing? I wanna do this fix myself, cause the car got me stuck twice yesterday in traffic. I didn't have a great day at all. So is it easy to change or not? any advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
