the diff in my car seems to be slipping, i did a burnout and both wheels spun then i hooked into a donut and the outside wheel stopped spinning and i ended up just driving around in a circle with the inside tyre frying.
in the wet it will usually spin both wheels but sometimes around corners it will do single spinners, could it be slipping cones or something and how hard is it to fix or would it be easier and more cost effective to replace?

try changing the diff oil first mate & add that friction modifier that ford bought out.
Castlemaine Rod Shop do a Strengthened version of the BW Fit for heavy duty work.
Theyre not expensive either.
Consists or uprated cones, springs etc
worth a look

Cones knackered for sure... my LSD will spin in the wet both but not always in the dry... one of the many to do things on my list!

Mine just wont spin with the current tyres i have got, unless i give it a real bootfull.
But yes Brett it does have enough power to spin

its pretty easy to spin the rears when youve only got stock 15" and shitty 205's!! lol :s6:

Yeah shannon, teh 205's were very easy to smoke, but the 225/45's SO1 Potenza's are just a little(read Bubblegum), bit stickier.
Yes brett, they will let go im the wet with only minimal provocation.

I agree with SVO347. Change the diff oil first before you start panicing too much. Make sure you put the right type in. Last time I changed the oil in a LSD diff, i bought it directly from the Castrol distributor here in Adelaide, saved quite a bit of coin.
