EF gearbox problem

it will not go into 4th until about 80ks and will not change down to 3rd easy.


only got 146,000ks

any ideas?

if its an ef 1 it should do!

If it's an EF it's gotta have a filler tube, look right up the back of the motor.

Are you using it like a manual gearbox? If so, put it in D and leave it, that's why they are called "automatic transmissions". Shift speeds are determined by lots of things, not just you selecting a number.

The EF 2 doesn't have an auto transmission dipstick - and it still says that it's an EF on the compliance plate.

you failed to mention wether it was an auto or manual.

but the way you described it, one must asume its an auto.

If you bought it from a yard, demand it be fixed under statutory wty. if privately, well, im affraid you will foot the bill.
