just wondering if any one has had a pressure plate wear out...

with my xr6 if i try dump it 2 off the line it does not stall it tries to spin then the clutch spins out on the pressure plate,

now i have not looked in to it much but the clutch plate has heaps of meat on it i had it on the hoist and you can see the plate from the side....

i was just wondering if this has happened to any one.

and wat is a heavy duty pressure plate worth, is the v8 one better?

Preasure plates do loose spring tension especialy if they get overheated. This basicly causes the clutch disc to have no preasure holding it agains the flywheel. It happens to most std clutches. I had an ef xr8 that went out like that. Replace it asap or you will cause heat cracks in the flywheel.
I dont think v8 cluthches fit(bigger) but a hd preasure plate/clutch disc and throw out bearing will cost around $350 to $550. Shop around. Try coventrys.
