Hey guys, as most of you know the ol' crate has it's new motor, now it needs a diff. I'm looking at 4.11s, and I know of one for sale, it's an LSD but it's out of an EL. I'm talking about the entire housing and all. Will it fit? Will the brakes from the DA go straight on? Anything at all that won't fit?
At worst you could swap the internals, but I'd think very seriously before using 4.11s. Depends on the motor's characteristics of course, but 4.11s and EA T5 is an extreme combination.

as EFFalcon said the handbrake setup you will have to work out somehow.
4.11's i hope you have a line to the fuel depot, you will go through juice like no tomorrow. Have you got an EA T5 with the 3.5 first gear ratio. You will barely get moving before you need to get out of first.
OED666: from my discussions i'm under the impression the 5 speed box may be to the same sorts specs as yours?
I've been told it was reving at about 2000-2100 rpm @ 100km/h with 4.11's and the said 5 speed.
So what ever the go is there :o

You will need to run the DA brakes. The axles will have longer studs so you will need open end wheel nuts if you have the closed end ones. the brake lines you will have to get crative as the breather hole is in a slightly different place and makes one brake line too long and one too short. and you will need the wide bush in your trailing arm. Get the sway bar links as well as they are a nut nd bolt design where the ea will have a clip and bolt. Apart from (all) that it'll bolt in. I got an EF diff in my EB.
I was about to post but Karl is reading so he'll clear it up!
Your biggest concern are the brake lines/breather hole I believe. Calipers bolt straight on, trailing arms need to get new bushes, that's about it. EL hand brake gear can just do nothing.
Speaking of diffs and Karl, you still want those axles?
