EL Falcon Gearbox. I think ???

I recently have been having trouble with my 1997 EL Falcon GLi. In the past few weeks it has been slipping gears (like goes into neutral for like 1-2 seconds), also it is having problems with changing into fourth (well I think only fourth). It has also been shifting fine I think in 1st 2nd and 3rd but I don’t know. I took it to 2 automatic transmission shops and one said I need a rebuild and a automatic transmission cooler (which I had fitted still no fix), but a more well known one said it is fine and that he thought it was overheating (so I took it in and got a new radiator/thermostat fitted and new coolant but its still slipping and it not a hot day.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
