Hi all,

I want to fit an electronic speedo sensor to my car.

I have a borg warner type 35 3 speed.

I understood that this transmission was offered on the EA in conjunction with the 4 speed AOD transmission.

I have also heard Taxi drivers used to swap the 3 speed for the 4 speed because the 4 speeds just didnt handle the power.

Anyway does anyone know if the speedo sender unit from an EA with a digital speedo would suit my B/W 35 transmission?

Would the extension housing need to be changed over the the EA style of B/W 35?

G'day,
the electronic speedo sender is inter changable with the BW35,40,45 and the E-AOD.

Ford commonality at work!!

It is also interchangeable with most manuals.... i don't know of any it won't work with, but will stand corrected if someone knows more.

So my old 1967 B/W type 35 can be retro fitted with a sender unit from a 1988 AOD/ BW 35/40?
That is great :) Im off to the wrecker this weekend then :) haha..

I had 1/2 lined up spending over $200 getting a custom made speedo cable with sender unit from a specialist.

Now I wont have to bother :)
