I have a 2001 F250 SD Crew Cub Gas 10V , auto trans..... When I accelerate(from 0), it revs up the rpm and then jerks into gear.. If I let off the gas, it is not so noticeable. Once it catches, seems to be ok. I checked the fluid levels and the fluid is clear.

i can also here some clicking noises...if that helps..

Wondering if you guys got any ideas. I friend told me to replace the fluid and filter and that might help or to add some trans additive to it....

Start with changing the fluid and when draining put it in a clean container so that you can sift through the fluid for metal particles. If the fluid is clean then change the filter, put new fluid in and you should be good to go.
As for the clicking wiggle the shifter a bit when it does it and see if the clicking goes away.
