I know that a flashing "power" mode signal is meant to notify you that the auto is getting hot. My son reported that on 2 occasions recently he saw it flash (one on a hot day with the A/C on and once during a hill climb) but I cant replicate it at all in traffic etc but the weather hasnt been all that hot in Adelaide. My son would not have been getting up it and the cooling sytem is perfect and never moves past even the lower middle of normal even in extreme conditions. The auto is functioning just fine and serviced 4K ago. Should I be concerned at all?

sounds like someone is giving the auto a hard time. Ask him how hard he is driving it.
