im just wondering what ford makes for a drag racing tranny ( 2 or 3 speed ), ive heard of several, just cant remember the names. can anyone help me out?

The most popular ones for drag racing here in OZ are the C4 and C6 3 speed autos.

Ford did make a 2 speed auto in the early sixties. But, I haven't heard of anyone using it for drag racing.

The majority of drag racers tend to use the 2 speed powerglide tranny. Of course, it is a GM tranny though.

I run a C6 behind a 460 in a Modified Dragster. A mate of mine runs a similar combo in a super sedan Ford XB Falcon Hardtop. A couple of mates run powerglides behind a 355 clevo and a 357 windsor respectively.
