Gear Box in XH ute

Hey guys,

This is a post on bob65's behalf cause he cant type

He has a XH ute & just recently when the engine is warm eg. a longish trip 1st to 2nd seem to clunk....or drop into gear

This doesnt hapen when she's cold. He was wondering if a change of oil may make a diffrence, as he has heard of this happening before

Any ideas ????????

Are we to assume manual or auto?

If you're not driving a manual you're really just steering.

Get to a dealer and see if it is throwing any codes. Autos can be difficult to diagnose, particularly intermittant/heat related problems. That era are notorious for poor electrical connections in the box though.
