Well, you said you don't want to hear it. It seems some are a lot worse than others, mine seems to have improved with age. It was never really bad, just an annoying chatter, can't say I notice it any more. If enough people complain they might do something about it.
Fitting the Herrod Short Shifter reduces the noise (it doesn't fix it completely) with the added benefit if lightning fast shifts. Shouldn't cost more that $700

Pity they can't be pushed started , or taken to 4000rpm and dropped into gear without exploding , or even towed for that matter ( unless you want to disconnect your tailshaft ) , and cost more to maintain and buy.
There are less advantages of owning an auto than manual , but I still reckon the BA V8 auto is one bloody good unit .
It's actually coming from inside the box. I Know you don't want to hear it, but I was told when I complained about mine that it was a characteristic of the Tremec box. I think Aussie Pete had a bad one. Check back through the threads this has beendiscussed before, but I haven't heard of any of the bad cases getting attention.
Try customer relations if you get no dealer satisfaction. They can organise an area manager to come and assess your problem.

They can be taken to 3K and dropped and that is good enough, funnily enough an auto can be push started you just have to get it to a very high speed to do it though, but all GT's come with 3 years road side assist so I wouldn't even think of push starting one when I can wait and get it fixed. Also if you have lowered spings on a GT I wouldn't like to see what your cars rear end looks like after being towed scaping on the ground, but an auto can be flat towed for a few k's if necessary, or just put on the back of a truck like most tow jobs these days, or as the manual says just use a Tow aid under the rears. They don't cost more to buy if you get a GT-P and there is no real maintainence on these new boxes they are a factory sealed unit, but they will cost a lot more to fix if they break. And I agree they are one bloody good unit
