Hey Guys...

Last week I was driving on the highway at night while it was pissing down rain... The rain was so bad I had to slow down to 60km... even at this speed I didn't see the flood waters across one section of the highway and I hit it at 60km.... the car got though it ok... but since then it is very hard to change gears... mainly putting the car into first and then changing to second...

Does anyone have any ideas... just want to have a bit of info beofre I take it to a shop..

That gets the weird award for the day

I have no clue - I wouldn't have thought water would get into the box to cause any hassle, and I'm not sure what else could cause the stiffness... Sorry

Checked the clutch cable? Maybe bent clutch fork or something but I doubt it....

maybe something got bent underneth the car while u drove through the water from a log or stone or so ...check if everything looks normal underneath ...

Unlikely possibility is that you have warped the pressure plate running surface, and now the clutch is dragging. Was the car hot when you hit the water?

Yes that exactly what happens with warped or uneven machining of flywheel..There is still slight contact between flywheel, clutch and pressure plate. So while some load is there it makes shifting harder...
