If you are doing regular driving and you want it to be more economical put it on 'E'
If you want the gears to stretch out a bit more and you want some more balls put it on Power.
If I was driving around in the city there were be no need to have it on Power, but if I needed to overtake someone travelling so slow in the suburbs, then whack it on to Power :p
My understanding is that when utilizing the Econ Mode, you are actually causing more heat due to the prolonged shifts (although smoother), which in turn may prevent the trans from longetivity.
Although, in my instance, i MUST leave it in Econ Mode because if its in Power the engine bounces off the rev limiter a couple of times b4 the next gear engages. Weird.
Makes no differance to the life of the trans, depends on your personel preferance but I find on my AU it is actually more economical to drive it in power mode.Strange must be my driving style.
Go the POWER, revs harder and further and in my instance chirps/spins the wheels into second when there is no filter on
unless of course you are driving long (freeway ) distance
