in my xf witch is an auto

every time i go from a complete stop and accelerate, unless i completely granny the accelerator.. theyres a grinding noise, sorta like if you were to put something in some fan blades... this doesnt stop till youve picked a decent amount of speed up

also, when changing gears, ie. from park to reverse, its not very smooth.. seems to jump

the transmission fluid is full, no grinding noise is heard when reving it in neutral, etc.

anyone got anyidea?

Sounds like the band/bands to me. I rebuilt an A4LD tranny with the same problem. Check that the bands are adjusted properly. It may also just be time for a rebuild....
