i have a 97 taurus lx and about 2 days ago it started shifting a little harder while accelerating. i havent noticed any slippage. when i step on it, everything seems normal. the fluid full and not burnt. It starts shifting hard after running for a few minutes.
any ideas would be nice

check engine light on or wacky speedometer? dying speed sensor causes some crazy shifting and that sensor sucks to get at.

the speedo sensor is fine, had it replaced about a month ago. i know with the vss, it will shift at weird times and go into overdrive at like 25-30 mph. it still shifts at the same times it always did. the ses was already on b/c of something that has to do with the o2 sensors (the sensors are good). prolly should check for codes, eh.

TPS can also cause some trans games. cheers
