Help with my auto GT

Hi all,
I need help with my supercharged EL GT auto box.
Its been sliping from 2-3
Normal driving it shiffs fine, but when i get up it you can feel it drop out of 2nd build up some revs then throw it in 3rd.
It is the addaptive shiff box and does it in all 3 modes.
And I serviced the box just after it started but it made no change:(

Any help would be much appreciated!

Re: Help with my auto GT

i think you may have killed the box mate...

you might have worn out the clutch pack that holds 3rd or something, which means you are up for a rebuild, try getting stronger friction material and a stage one shift kit, also get a fuggenbig transmission oil cooler, the number 1 enemy of an auto is heat!

Re: Help with my auto GT

What's usually the main cause of an Auto slipping? Could maybe have a problem with the planetry gears? It's hard to say, I'm don't really know much about Auto's. I'd be taking it to a tranny place and just hope that they don't feel like ripping you off telling you some cotton bull.

Re: Help with my auto GT

Dam! i was hopping it might be a lazy servo coz once it grabs 3rd it holds ok.
The change from 2nd to 3rd is like somone driving a manual and not taking their foot of the throttle for the gear change.

If the gears aren't engaging quickly, check the fluid level. If the level is fine, check your shop manual for the band adjustment procedure. A loose band will extend the shift duration which will wear your clutches pretty quickly.

If the clutches are not slipping once engaged, I would suspect the band/bands.

i got same problem with a c 10 auto, if i leave it in drive first thing in morning doesnt wanna change out of first, and if i manually peg the thing out changing from 2nd to drive or 3rd whichevr u prefer, it takes an extra 1000 rpm to grab next gear

Re: Help with my auto GT

Hi BigBronco,
The fluids right and the bands are self adjusting im told, dose anyone know if this is right?
The EB ED I could adjust, but they changed it on the EL.

Vulgarwolf,
Did you find the prob with it? I had a XE 351 and FMXauto that done the same.
But with this one its different coz it changes normal when I drive normaly (ya dont even know theres a prob) but slips at the change 2-3 going up hills or when i give her a bit of a boot.
