higher gears really the answer??
hey guys, I was out doing a little bit of racing (private road) 1st to 100 and with my 3.08 single spinner noticed that 2nd gear ended at exactly 100km ( manual) and was beating my mates without to much struggle to 100km. I was struggling for traction in 1st and 2nd gear and was thinking to 100km that this was a good ratio, (why bother going another gear change when 2 is enough) and was wondering if a 3.45 ratio was really needed 0-100, when you will need 3rd to get to 100. long story short, should I go a 3.45 lsd or use my original 3.08 and go lsd, (don't want to keep single spinner) when really all I'm after is 0-100km times...not really interested in 1/4's.
