How to adjust AU S5 solenoid??

Does anyone kow how to adjust the s5 solenoid in the au fords?And how hard is it to do?

you dont adjust it

EB FALCON
98 T5 gear box (was auto)
Wade 977b cam
3.7 lsd
AU bottem end
ELXR6 ported Head
PH4480 Pacemakers

Thats funny I have seen posts in the past that the AU ford s5 solenoid is adjustable??And it works like a shift kit...

Yes you can adjust it to icrease line pressure and decrease shift time. I believe it is just a screw on one end of the solenoid but I have never done it myself, I just got it set by the trans place and left it.

I had an AU S5 solenoid installed. The guy said he turned it only one o'clock (1/12th of a turn). This was more than enough for crisp shifting and a 1st to 2nd chirp.
Feels better than my old switchable shift kit did too.

the only problem with adjusting the s5 is that if u go too far, it can cause a piston to crack (i think it may have been the c2, cant remember completly though) as my tranny rebuilder mate told me. but this prob wouldnt be too much of a problem if it was only turned up a tiny bit.

there is another type of shift kit which ive done (didnt create though) and posted in the tranny/driveline section which "disables" the s3/s4 shifting solenoids.

i havent been in an adjusted s5 solenoid car before though, so i cant really give an opinion on that.
