What sort of 1/4 mile time will an ED auto run? Assuming its a fit one with quick changes.

16sec? 17sec? or faster?

According to Wheels September 1993, the ED GLi and Futura are both 17 second cars. The diff ratio on auto GLi, Futura and Fairmont models was taller than EB II, at 3.08 rather than 3.27.

what about the EA II CFi? hehe 20+?

In Wheels, EA 3 speed 3.9 CFI achieved 17.2 in 1988 - but different track conditions etc need to be taken into account here. The VN equivalent was just 15.8!!! :sook:

On the other hand, the 'hero' EA, the MPI manual S, did the same 15.5 as the Calais V8 auto.

Jack: i think some of those performance figures should be put up on eafalcon.com, i know there has been heaps of times when i've looked for those kinda figures.
i was looking for info on an Auto EF the other week.

Also, changing the diff to 3.27 would mean i need a new computer right?

New diff shouldn't require computer changes, maybe speedo calibration...only in victoria, the speed camera state

Auto EF Falcon GLi and Futura 400m times are 16.6 and 16.8 respectively, again according to Wheels.

There's a lot of good info on the forums that I'd like to see on the site, but at the moment the whole page is a mess as we all know, so if anything the idea will have to wait a little while.
