hey,
my auto transmission in my xf fairmont has just stuffed itself and i was wondering if anyone roughly would know how much it would cost to replace it.

i got one for $50 when i had my XF, but i also sold one that i had at a later date for $100 and have seen them go at higher prices, would be best off trying to buy a whole XF that is suited to wrecking for around $200 then you will have heaps of spares other than the gearbox,

if you can get hold of one, get one from an EA. they are a much better auto than in an XF (it is a common misconception that they are exactly the same as an XF one).
you will need to fit the bell housing and extension housing off the one on ya XF to the EA box to make it fit
