oh the diference taking off with both wheels spinning! then going sideways into 2nd!! how did i live without 1?

but, i think the bearings are done up a bit too tight or are haddit, or the mesh isnt right cos its whiney.

oh well.

As of last tuesday, I pulled out the LSD, and threw in a locker.. OH THE DIFFERENCE!!!

i coundnt find 3.7's anywhere, its got 3.45 gears out of vl commodore. now have to get the mayching speedo gear.

did my first helis just a hour ago!!!! im going to need new tyres sooner than i thought..

i dont think i swore once doing the whole swap too, which is unusual for me as i usually have troubles. only thing i ran into was the bracket for the shockers mount was too tight, so it was bent with a big shifter.

Just another quick question guys, of how to tell an LSD from a non-LSD. I didn't want to risk giving bad advice so I'm asking here.

You jack the back of the car up and spin a wheel by hand, and if the wheels spin in opposing ways then it is non LSD. Is this correct?

yep

First thing to do is look on the filler nut - the big one half way up the ass of the centre of the diff. If theres a tag hanging off its 99% a lsd.

if its not there you can check by either lifting both wheels and seeing if one spins backward non lsd, put the car in gear for that test.

if you cant turn it, take the car out of gear and spin one wheel if it turns and so does the othwer side in the same direction you got yoursself an lsd or a seriously crook non lsd
