EDXR8

I am about to install a new torque convertor into my ED XR8 (95LE trans) and just need to know the correct proceedure. The workshop manual gives no details. From memory I think you need to push the convertor in while rotating and wait for 3 clicks which indicates it is in properly, but I am not sure.

That's exactly it, it must set into the splines in three separate stages, if not, you could run into trouble.

It is pretty obvious when the torque convertor is not seated all the way in as the tags will protrude past the face of the bellhousing.

Some guys like to fill the convertor with fluid first as well.

you can only 1/2 fill the converter out of the car any way (unless your installing the trans verticaly lol.

Thats the correct procedure grant. i installed it on my own and had no troubles using that method
