when i picked up my glide last week the guy told me that the converter needs to be internely bushed, what does that mean???
i didnt think to ask him when i picked it up
Might mean the convertor is trashed?? Don't take my word on that though. Sus it out with a highstall manifacturer. My glide runs a turbo input shaft with the convertor to suit. I run a 5200rpm TCE convertor.
Mine cost me nothing as I had a few connections to get everything @ mate rates etc. Box, convertor and adapter plate was $3000 pretty much all inclusive.
Not sure if you've sourced a speedo cable yet? Joe @ http://www.autocables.com.au sorted mine out and had it to me in 24 hours for $66 + $14 postage. I highly recommend Joe his turnaround time is fantastic.
[edit] something else you won't have probably realised it the glides pan/linkages foul your extractors. You need to make a custom crossmember and have the extractors modified to suit. My cars in at Hallam Performance having this done at the moment by Barney (Barney's exhausts).
Mines a KB autos (Berwick) glide. The convertors TCE.
