My T5 conversion was successfully completed yesterday!

It's made the car SOOOO much nicer to drive. Much smoother and more fun.
It's also getting heaps more power to the ground. It pulls like a freight train now! In first gear doing about 30k's if I floor it, it quite easily spins the rears.

Just have a two things left to figure out. Firstly, I have to get the reverse lights working, which'll be easy, just can be bothered at the moment.

Secondly, I am running an EA 5spd MPFI ECU, car idles/runs/drives fine, but the A/C compressor won't engage. I can hear the climate control unit click (which it does then the compressor engages), but the compressor doesn't come on. Will I have to alter the main loom to the ECU or is there an easier way out?

I also think my diff or unis are a bit sad, when I take off I get a little clunk just as I let the clutch and also when I change gears or back off then accelerate again. What do you guys think?

Congratulations matey! It really is like buying a new car, as this mod completely changes the car's personality.

I am running an EA 3 speed ECU and have no issues to speak of, so I'm not sure on that problem. But about the clunks, I get them as well. Not sure what it is (could even be rear bushes) but I really can't be bothered throwing money at it when it is only a minor annoyance at this stage.

But first of all I'd be checking your engine mounts. then go from there

Your air con is controlled by the ecu in EB2 onwards. They have a feature of turning it off under heavy acceleration.

Using the EA ecu youll have to add a clutch switch also.

I got no idea what the noise is. It never did it with the auto, but then it never used gearing to slow the car or anything. It's deffinately coming from the rear axle vicinity.

The box is out of an XF equivalent Fairlane, obviously converted from auto, but no idea what it was in before that. I was a little weary of putting it in because of it's age etc. But turns out it's a sweet box, it could be out of something newer than an XF

NZ, the car seems to be running fine without the clutch switch. The revs don't drop to quickly, I had that problem in my last car, but this one is ok.

I just had a P plater in a Silvia fly past me heard the BOV goin spaz, and the lights up ahead (on a private driver education course! lol) turn red. I thought to myself "I am so gunna get shat all over here". Lights turn green, got an alright start, put my foot down in 1st got wheel spin, snatched 2nd wheels spun again, but I was pulling away. I got about a car length ahead of him before I decided I had fairly won :) The SR20 put up a bloody good fight but still got
