I'm building a hot 351C and hope to put out approx 650hp.
I'm looking for a manual transmission and i've come accross a "Liberty Gear Pro-Shifted Toploader" and i was wondering if anyone knew of any of these in service, or have heard on how they perform.
I have found one in the US but im unsure if it will withstand 650+hp, 6000rpm launches, 10.5" slicks with 3500lbs...
By one way, i mean you can upshift, but not downshift. I think you can get a newer version that shifts both ways, but i'm not sure. Jerico certainly make one.
And you dont need liberty shifting to run 9's. A standard toploader will do.
I dont think so.. i'm talking a Ford Toploader that has been Pro-Shifted by Libertys Gears.
Theres one in the US that i hope to land for approx $1800Aud brand new.. or a second hand one here in Perth which i believe the person wants $1500 or so for.
A mate has a liberty shifted bull nosed top loader sitting under the bench. Unfortunately they wont fit behind a small block (the input shaft is too short)
