Re: locking diff!!!

I have a mini-spool in my Borg-Warner diff. It is 25 spline, I think the same as your XE, so yes, you can get them. I would advise against fitting one though as it is a pain to drive on the street. Behind a 250, I would suggest getting a V8 LSD 4 pinion comeplete diff for it. I doubt you would kill it easily unless you do stupid things. Much nicer to drive as well. Trust me, if you use your car more than a couple of times a week and don't do burnouts all the time, you will want to remove the spool after a couple of months.

only trouble with mini spooling the falcon diff is the 25 spline axels my brother had them a few times in different cars, if you don't care about the diff whine and clunky backlash you can have a go yourself, for burnout beast my brothers all worked well exept you can break axels doing sharp turns if the wheels don't give,
for a cheap lsd for you're car a ZK/ZLfurlane or XE/XF ghia diff is the go but 2.92 is as not as common as2.77 the 2.92 hemisphere can use lots of ratios 3.23, 3.77 cortina 4cyl etc changing ratios is a diff bloke job but
my brothers 250 cortina with minispool 4cyl diff was FULLY SICK(laughs as its coming from a 30yo)

Re: locking diff!!!

i don't think the axles will hold for long specially if you got fat rubber. My old XF only lasted a couple of hours before right hand axle shattered. I'd go to a 9" with mini spool and bilet axles

EF Futura, XR6 spec head, lowered, T5 conversion, 2.5" catback, AU XR8 snorkle w/ K&N

There is a war inside my head, if I take a day off I'll die!

This cat, is cat, a cat, good cat, way cat, to cat, keep cat, a cat, idiot cat, busy cat, for cat, 20 cat, seconds cat! Now read it all without the word cat!

Re: locking diff!!!

either go 4 pin 28spline LSD borgie, or 28spline mini spool borgie.

Dont expect both to take bulk punnishment and live for too long. If your serious about it, look into a 31 spline full spool 9".

Ill take it as a complement i think.............
