Hey everyone,

I just rang some wreckers from around victoria about gettin a LSD diff for me ED wit ABS. DOesn't matter bout ABS i can just put my rotors on. but neways hows this i rang 4 different places n got 4 VERY different prices.

1 place sed 3.23 ratio for $440
2nd place sed $550 nufin bout a ratio
3rd place sed $1100 swap over ( but that is reco\new diff)
and the lucky 4th and local place to me sed $350 and is chasin up the ratio i'm after.

Go the local bloke. All the others were in melb n i thought would of been cheaper..

Neways thought that was weird.

WBT56 is actually the man to ask about these matters mate...

anyway, it DOES matter if the diff is ABS or not - the axles and the housing ARE different, and if you get a non-ABS housing you either need ABS axles and get really creative with the mounting of the sensors, or just find a LSD centre somewhere (skylines and VLs have the same centre- borg warner) and get a diff shop to fit it. the rotors on the rear have nothing to do with ABS operation.

they will normally not do it unless they fit new bearings and stuff though, so budget for that too.

try and find a 3.45 or 3.7 skyline LSD centre, 3.7 will get it going very nicely.
